Have you seen the Soul Soap, or even better, purchased it?
If so, you'll have noticed that 50% of the profits are donated to Charity.
So here's some of the details to the two charities that have a little of my soul....
- The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust
- Dandeng Kulledeng - The Gambia Wildlife Foundation
Why these charities? And why in Gambia?
Anyone who has followed me on Instagram for a while will know why, but I'll try and keep it brief for those who don't.
I spent 15 years working in the Fashion Industry and it really didn't morally align. The vacuous materialistic aspirations, the children's slave labour, landfill, pollution...
It got to the point that I knew I had to do something else, but I didn't know what and felt pretty depressed.
My partner and I went away in January (the most depressing British month) 2021 and at random picked The Gambia, as we'd never been before.
It was like no place we'd ever been. The total immersion in a wild and brutal nature was world's apart from the west and exactly the kind of authentic life I'd been seeking. A culture still intertwined with all of the elements that nature provided; both brutal and beautiful.
So I decided I wanted to build a Guesthouse on the beach on Sanyang Beach and spent the next few years developing the plans and affiliating with the government to finalise the business.
By this point, I had a pack of dogs, a bunch of friends and a huge smile on my face.

I met The Gambia Horse and Donkey Trust through Emily and Eva on Instagram and visited the charity many times with dogs I knew and many I came across on my travels.
The tireless work this charity does from the decency of their hearts restored my faith in humanity after way too many disappointments.
Emily and Eva continued to set up their own charity Dandeng Kulledeng and honestly the passion and dedication toward the welfare of animals is astounding, humbling and truly worthy of hard.cold.cash!
So please, please buy some SOUL SOAP help yourselves, these two immense charities, AND a huge number of helpless animals.
I'll be posting more on this moving forward, I just wanted a base for inquiries to get more info for now!

... Continued because some inquiries asked what happened with the Guesthouse...
After all the projects were approved and it came to land allocation detailing of the Guesthouse, the Government told me the entirety of Sanyang Beach was to be demolished for a deep sea port. Explicitly I was told not build there, or I would lose my investment.
So I came home, licked my wounds and considered what to do next... whilst trying to busy myself with distractions, I started making Skincare again. I was 21 when I first started and a great deal of time had passed since.
It felt incredible to be creating like this again. And knowing I was doing something that could actually help people and make them feel better, rather than destroying the planet and adding to landfill.
Gambia still has my soul in so many ways, and I'm watching with anticipation on the (incredibly slow) developments on Sanyang Beach.
But for now, I'm happy with Season of Soul, and growing my baby. I just want to make sure the animals and area that stole my heart are cared for by loving hands.
Knowing that Emily, Eva and Moss are there, I know it's guaranteed.
